Man looks at the outside,
But God looks at the heart.
But God looks at the heart.
Far too often we are guilty of taking a snapshot judgement of someone's behaviour without having insight into their heart. Behaviour is a symptom of a belief. Beliefs can be based in truth or based in lies. We often judge others based on their behaviour. If behaviour is a symptom and not the cause, is it fair to judge?
Example: Someone talks too much about themselves. We assume arrogance is the cause of this. Look deeper. Arrogance is merely a symptom of the cause. The cause may be insecurity.
Next time you are tempted to judge based on a behaviour, ask God what that persons heart may be. Ask for compassion and grace and love, then ask what the persons heart may be. What is seen as negative behaviour is an direct result of deep pain and a false belief. Bypass the judgement to see a heart in need of healing.
God knows your heart. He is with you in your pain, He judges your heart.
