Harvest

Picking a harvest must be done at just the right time. We pray for harvest, but are we ready? Are we open to Him making us ready? Search me and know me, know my innermost thoughts. Search me and see if there is any offensive way in me. "When you pick the weeds you have to get the whole plant, not just the top. It might look like you have gotten all of it, but the roots will begin to grow and choke out the plant if you don't get it all. Get all of the root, don't miss any of it..." The roots that keep us from harvest run deep. Individually, corporately. Have you actively allowed God to get rid of the weeds? The roots? Killing the weeds, roots being the most painful, but also the most effective. Only Jesus can do that, and only if you believe He can. And He can... will. We pray for the harvest, when repentance is what we need. His yoke is easy for he is gentle and humble in heart. Allow the weed picker to pick; the roots will die, resurrecting in us a harvest that will flow from the heart of God to the people of the world...
